Taking Care of Your Mom Skin

hey Ladies!
First of all! HAPPY NEW YEAR! And many more!!!!!
Right! Your like here's another post about skincare.... HELLS YEAH!
Now I will be the first t o admit that my skin isn't the best! and that is mostly due to my terrible diet.  Also I need to drink tons more water ( I am a juice drinker ). But one thing is for sure when I was actively monitoring my water intake and washing my face regularly and exfoliating weekly my skin was radiant! I have noticed that when I am not feeling well my skin shows it too! As you know from my letter of apology things in my personal life was kinda sucking for a minute LOL thus depression and slackage... NOT COOL! I have decided to take pics of my face this week and and every other day until the middle-end of the month! Kind of "skin log" if you will! I am excited bc my other logs have flopped so bad xD I want this one to really do well. I am sticking to it.

Now before I start washing away and scrubbing I did a little research and basically have found that there are several factors that determine skin health. Here are (what I gather) to be the most important:

1.Hygiene
2.Product
3.Diet
4.Lifestyle/Habits

Hygiene bc you must, must, MUST wash your face and body!  I have found that if you wash your face separately from your body (and use different wash cloths for your face and body) it helps. Also I learned that washing your face when coming inside from a day of WHATever helps a whole lot. When you hit the door after your long day, head to the sink and wash "outside" off your face!

Products are important. If you need to see and dermatologist then GO! If you don't know what your skin type is then its best to figure it out ASAP and who better to help than a "skin doctor"?! How else will you know what kinda product is best for your skin?

Your diet determines alot. How you feel and look too! Water is so important to healthy everything (including hair) and skin is no different. Also if you eat alot of greasy foods or foods loaded down with sugar it will come out in your pores most of the time, especially if you workout and/or sweat often.  Healthy diet equals healthy skin ladies!

Last but not least, your lifestyle! You cannot expect to change your skin (or anything for that matter) without making changes to your way of living, but it is not impossible. I think in order to really make sure your skin is healthy you must change your habits/lifestyle.  A few tips I have come across that have worked for me are:

1. Drink water.
2.Wash your face after coming in from outside.
3. Change your pillow cases often (weekly).
4. Don't switch products often, find what works for your skin type and stick to it.
5. Don't pick your pimples!
6. Try not to touch your face too much, your hands are covered in up to 10,000 different germs at any given moment.
8. Cover your head when going to bed. Product from your hair can transfer onto your face when via your pillow.
9. Exfoliate weekly at the very least. Don't know what that means CLICK HERE
10. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Do whatever works for you! Only you know what your skin can and cannot take. If all else fails go see a dermatologist.
11. Relax! High stress levels can effect your skin as well!
